Briton Ventures - Funding

Executive Production

Briton Ventures is currently working in conjunction with Mythology 500 to provide equity for film projects made within the UK. Film investment is traditionally raised by Executive Producers working with Producers. They use their experience and knowledge to source investment from around the world in order to know exactly where and when media financing is available. Briton Ventures can compliment this process by providing help to fully finance films from any genre and budget.

Executive Producer Network

Additionally, we are creating a network of successful Executive Producers around the world. This will provide Briton Ventures with a comprehensive database of all the key decision-makers in the global film community. Consequently, each Executive Producer will be invited to join projects based on their previous successes or relationship with our existing Production team. We would mutually agree on the best project, based on their preferred area of media financing. Additionally, this Executive Producer Network would interact, as it is common to have more than one Executive Producer on any given movie.

Briton Development

This is a $4m fund capable of investing up to $200,000 per project over an initial 5 year period. The fund will be a rolling fund that will plough all profits back into the fund until the investment matures in 5 years time. Briton Development Limited will be an Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), capable of providing Investors with tax relief. The fund will be used to develop projects within Briton Productions Ltd and also work with other established film-makers from around the world.

BV Fund

The Briton Ventures Fund is a Private Equity Fund which, when operational in 2009, will be capable of providing up to 25% of any budget up to $100m in first position. The significance is it will allow our team full control of the respective project and allow us to invite the highest caliber of international investors to participate as partners on the movie. The set criteria for the fund will be family films. Additionally, the BV Fund will also seek to exit the project in first position, thus ensuring the fund recovers its investment.
